@andrewjoliver82 Its called sidechaining, you normnally use a compressor/peak controller linked to a kick drum to act as a gate and thus playing when the kick is not in effect, and not playing when it is.

Its a good song but yeh I have to agree, far too similar to be a seperate release, even remixes between the same song have more variation in them than these two seperate ones.
