Does the book have an American accent? I sometimes have trouble reading foreign accents, like I have trouble hearing sign language.

I have a Recycled Recumbent and love the seat. Thinking about building a trike, and trying my hand at assembling a seat.

I work with a retired Army Master Rigger. He's the guy that lashes down Jeeps and guns, then drops them out of airplanes. He brought me his Army reference book, and it showed me a 30 degree angle only adds 10% to the total load.

For those out there looking at the Hennessy's, if you are near 6 ft tall, consider the longer Explorer. My Expedition is just a tad short, and binds my legs. The Warbonnet is long like the Explorer. Overall, Hennessy's do fit me better also.

Just returned home from a week-long hammock trip thru Arkansas mountains. Got the chills a few nights with my homebuilt under-blanket.

Shug is right, it is SO worth the weight to carry a quilt. Won't leave home without it again.

I only use the small light for entry/egress, and when the hammock moves just a little, the ridgeline would swing the light rapidly, causing strobe effect. Very annoying even for the small time in use. Ended up using a clip to keep the light stationary until I got all settled in.

I agree, that kit is probably the best. I have a Trangia 27, the Swiss Army Kit, Brunton IB, and homemade stuff, but always choose the Swiss army kit. So versatile, and it just plain works. Kinda curious about the BCB Crusader kit now...

I've played with smalls myself. Fill the hinge holes with JB weld to seal up. Add some wick material like fiberglass, with a doughnut hole in the middle, to create a cylindrical flame.

Just seems like a difficult way to put on a hat. I mean, why the stick, when you could lower the hat from a complex pulley system from the ceiling right onto your head?Or maybe you did that, but I fell asleep about a minute into the video to a swinging buckle, and woke up at the stick/hat thing.

Looks like hiking Arizona. The hills are smooth rolling type, where you wouldn't need any trekking poles like you would in the Pacific Northwest or the AT.

I have pretty much the same setup as you, and the Hennessy tree huggers had always been too short. Finally bought some Slap Straps.

Also, I cut a bed pillow in half, sewed up the cut end, and it is small enough to pack, and works very well at night.

That .45 isn't too bad, but I'll stick with my Jennings Combat Special Forces Tactical Slayer, in bone jarring, flesh tearing .25 caliber. It' s banned in some countries, but I elephant hunt with it in Africa. Looking at adding a 5 hole compensator.
