janhenj. The Red-tailed hawks chose another tree for their nest but they still perch in this tree which is where their nest was before it blew down in a windstorm.

I adore Canada geese. But where are the falcons? Will they put up with this?

Have the hawks that lost their nest due to bad weather ever reclaimed their nest that we set back for them?

Well we are recovering from our micro Winterfest 2012. We got about one and a half foot of snow. Then it turned to rain now we have no more snow. Blah! We did get to go take a walk about in the snow before it left.
Did you get snow where you are at?

I have the Decorah Eagle nest bookmarked under my CAM favorites, but haven't had time to check it out lately. I see that upstream also has a peregrine falcon one, that I haven't checked on, but will have to do so. At the museum, I love all of our birds, but our peregrine has a special place in my heart, followed by our turkey vulture. We are now looking for a golden eagle. What I really like about this video is that you can hear their call. So many people have entirely the wrong impression of what a bald eagle sounds like. In movies, and even sadly to say in documentaries, most of the time the call you hear along with the view of a bald eagle is the call of a red-tail. I guess red-tails sound the way people think an eagle should sound.
