Iran does not want war war with Israel, it is not a suicidal country. Israel has more nuclear weapons per capita than any country on the planet, Iran starting a war with Israel would be like Iran starting a war with India or China, it would be annihilated!

I know you didn't compare Hitler to Obama, I wasn't referring to you, I was just referring to what is being said in some circles and how it's poisoning the otherwise substantive debate about healthcare. Look, I understand your reservations about whether the government will handle health care in a competent way, but just because they haven't been competent in the past doesn't mean they can't be in the future. I live in Switzerland, and the government mostly handles things quite well here, (although we don't have government-run health care, but it's universal and obligatory) and in neighboring France, although I'm not denying they have issues, the government-run health care is actually not bad. But maybe you're right about scrapping the bill and starting over, as long as the Republicans' proposals are pragmatic and not just aimed at disagreeing with the Democrats (the same is true vice-versa)
