A good reason to shoot over to Goodyear or Glendale to do pattern work....DVT is over saturated with traffic and can be out right dangerous when all the Transpac birds are out.

172's suck at spinning, but if you keep about 1500 RPM in for the first 1/2 turn or so, you can wrap it around pretty tight.

Geez...That's a pretty thorough grilling to put a private pilot applicant through. My commercial oral was 30 minutes, private (with the same DE) around 1 hour.

Really no difference beetween 61 and 141 in terms of quality of student. It really depends on the student. I teach at a school that does both 61 and 141 training.
