I don't understand why people are so upset. I've been called an 00s kid twice and I was born in late 86. It doesn't phase me because it doesn't make my memories disappear.

That's BS. Hybrids are born around 1981/1982 or so. I was born in December 1986 and consider myself a mid 90s kid. The absolute core of my childhood was 1995 and 1996. I am a mid to late 90s kid who remembers the early 90s fairly well.

The best music of the 2000s was either on alternative rock stations , underground, or from foreign countries. The American pop charts were what everyone saw but I never got bad music as a teen because I refused to listen to the American pop charts.
