Well Crusades are run by the Central(Catholic) Church. I don't think the Catholic Church, or any church for that matter, lead a call to a Crusade during WW1. I have read that the Sultan made a call to Jihad, but that is a complete different story. I also don't agree with Historians who numbered the Crusades, since there were things like the Spanish Reconquista that were Crusades. The Partitioning of the Ottoman Empire had more to do with Imperialism than Christendom. There obviously were the neo-Crusaders, but I don't think they had very much influence.
I'm not very familiar with this either, so I will change whatever I have set up.
