My point about the mother/child analogy was that, in one scenario, the mother doesn't have to physically touch her child (if she were to poison them), and in the other scenario, she'd have to physically touch them (if she were to stab them). Same scenario here.

This guy never says guns don't kill people, and he never says video games kill people. I understand the desire to sensationalize things, especially when making a video to further a political agenda, but at least try to make sure your title isn't misleading. That isn't too much to ask.

Oh yeah, and before people jump on me with their assumptions, I DON'T agree with the old guy in the video.

I started laughing harder and harder with each elevated pitch-shift of 'fuck you', and by the time he got to 'motherfuckerrr', I was wheezing from lack of breath.

To sum this clip up:

1) Nobody should own semi-automatic weapons, as they can all be easily converted to full-auto(complete bullshit, only applies to certain semi-autos), and

2) Adam Lanza wouldn't have been able to kill many without assault weapons(completely ignoring that Seung-Hui Cho killed MORE than Lanza, using only two handguns), and

3) there are 350 million Americans, and 310 million guns in the US.

4) Oh, and COD is also to blame.

Exactly. If you read the transcript of Obama's speech, he spends the previous two paragraphs talking about 9/11 and the anniversary the previous day, and then he gives his 'act of terror' bit. Context pretty clearly indicates he was talking about 9/11.

It was pretty damn funny when the three of them ended up standing around watching the ONE guy pick it all up.

I can't help but find it amusing that when confronted with a video that leaves little room for interpretation on whether these people are condoning voter registration fraud, the response of many Obama supporters is to simply clap their hands over their ears and say "Nope! Clearly, he should have just stuck with the talking points he had in the first few minutes and last few minutes of the speech. The little skit didn't go over quite as well as he probably anticipated, and it makes me wonder if he just decided to ditch it part way through for that very reason. I like how she keeps saying "the bottom line message" and "it doesn't matter", as if to say "what we're trying to say, and never mind if we're misleading and/or dishonest when trying to convince people..."

Pay attention to the guy watching him in the top left corner of the screen. I think he's just as alarmed and confused as most of these viewers.

Talk about a misleading title and caption on the video. Romney makes what is pretty clearly a joke regarding the birth certificate issue, spends all of ten seconds on it at the most, and that's all the AP hears.

That first clip is just WAY too fuckin' awesome. It's like a miniature version of that cliche Hollywood scene where a nuclear missile detonates over a metropolis skyline and rains hell on everything.

After this long, I think it's amusing how some defensive some people get when someone dares to criticize Obama. If what the info on the video says is true ("It's been over eight weeks since President Obama took a question from the White House Press Corps."), then this is a legitimate criticism.

This video can show all the happy photos of this guy it wants, but until I know what they are holding him for exactly, I'm postponing judgement. It's not to say that the way officials are handling this is right (if the mother it telling the truth), and I'm not defending them either, BUT they also could have probable cause that they haven't spoken about yet. Again, not defending how they're handling the case. And the fact that he's a marine doesn't mean much either. Timothy McVeigh was a marine.

Of course, and that's exactly what will happen if marijuana is ever legalized to the same extent that cigarettes are. And you can also bet that it will have additives that make it addictive, the same way cigarettes and fast food do.

The point I was making is that it's ridiculous to assume that because you can't patent a species of plant, drug companies couldn't make a profit off of legalized marijuana. And just for the sake of clarity, I think it should be legalized.
