Oh,... I did notice that the fan kicks on quite a bit with Windows 7 installed on the 5150. Not sure how yours performs but I feel the CPU is really working hard at times (100%),...especially when I download Microsoft updates and the service pack 1 for Windows 7. It was like a jet wash!

If I was a newbie ham or even a veteran ham,... I would purchase the TS-2000 or hold onto your/my existing TS-2K. This is certainly not much of an improvement. No upper bands, however the receiver might be a bit more selective than the TS-2K. I believe the price point btw. the 590 and 2000 is ...

I enjoyed this too. It is a nice sipping whiskey with crushed ice. Very clean, refreshing. I liked the older Wild Turkey American Honey (old brand @ 60 proof), but this whiskey blows it away. Nicely done.
