About Me:

After years of trying to make sense of the bible, I have finally thrown up my hands and admitted that it is an impossible task. I was brought up to be a christian, and went to parochial school for 12 years. My family expected me to fall into step and be a devout believer. But. There were so many things I didn't understand. Why would a deity micromanage the american continent and let children in other continents starve? Why was he so concerned about what old testament people ate, or wore? Why was he willing to appear to old testament people but not in our day and age? Why did he consider faith such a virtue, and ignore the value of effort to do good, or to love? Why did he invent hell and look the other way as most of the world would end up going there? How could perfect *love* invent hell? Why did he seem so needy when it came to worship of him? I am a loving human mother...I would never require my children to constantly sing my praises to keep me in a good mood. Why did god seem to need this? Why did he wipe out entire races of people that got on his nerves...why did he destroy everyone but Noah's family? Why did he allow *the devil* to torture Job, and kill his wife and family, just for sport? Job had never been anything but a faithful servant to his god...and this is what he gets. Oh wait. God *replaced* his children with other children, right? Would you want god to replace your children? Not me...I kinda like my own. His actions in the old testament were Not loving, and Not godly, they were despicable. They sounded more like stories told around a tribal campfire: To scare people. One day, I saw a video done by imrational, here on youtube. And I was off! By the end of the week, I knew I had been fooled...I realized that this god theory was only good if I was willing to smother my thought process. I really tried, I tried so hard to believe. But any time I read the bible, it would all come apart again. I studied then, without handicapping my brain with unprovable bible babble. And for the first time, I felt the veil lift. And here it is: there is only one life, so I will do the best I can to make the most of it. I will not waste any of it here in hope that I will get another turn, in a heavenly dimension, for all eternity. This is all there is, and that is okay. Somehow, the idea of living in a place with the angry nit-picking god of the bible was always a thought that made me shudder. It was with a sigh of relief that I finally, after over 50 years, laid down that fable where previously I had buried the easter bunny myth, and the tooth fairy, and witches and santa claus. None of them were reality.

Nowadays, I sculpt. I do life size santas and 7 inch babies, and 1:12 scale figures. I am new to the small items, and haven't gotten adept at it, but soon....

Hi there. Thank you for your visiting and commenting. You are right in that Korea has no problem to hang around at night even for women, which I 'm a bit proud of. Even though not always is the case. By the way I've read your profile in detail. It was impressive.
