quick pull 1991 mustang 5.0

I have an 89 bronco fullsize with the 5.0, and mine does the exact same thing, cranks but doesnt start. i really dont want to take in soemwhere if its a simple fix like that. did replacing the module fix it? i would like to know so i dont have to buy the part and not be able to return it if that...
