@eszterle The idea of the exhaust is to extract the heat away from the cylinder wall. Removing that, removes the extraction effect, which causes massive heat up in the cylinder wall, which cause deformation. Hence, damage

@tchristl450 No offence dude, but have you RIDDEN a KTM 300? They go like stink, and they definitely do go faster than 450s. Not only do videos on youtube prove it, but personally experience with my 300 vs my dads WR450.

@bumbooster75 Um, no they don't mate. They make a 250F, a 450F, a 525F now updated to a 530F, and a 690F. They're also introducing a 350F into the 2012 line-up. Or you could also buy a blue KTM (The bergs) and have more of a range of four strokes.

@RonniesGarage 3 grand? The difference is $200 between ride away prices. That's comparing 2011 models of a KTM 300exc and a WR450F.

Though, you are right that the 450 got him off the line, but in another video, I'm sure he stated that he's actually gone a size bigger on the countershaft sprocke...

@MrTHIPARU You'd probably be better of stopping it then keeping going if the cylinder is going to ingest water. Waters incompressible, and when the piston tries to, it will hydraulic lock and ruin the motor.

Mate, I have to say, you can ride bloody brilliantly.

@todltodl That's a shame about the weather. Although, in summer here, the temperatures hit above 40c, so sometimes, it's WAY too hot to get onto the bike.
