I like the shot of Chargers WR John Jefferson's amazing touchdown catch behind some of the commercial promos. In today's NFL, we would have to stand around for five minutes waiting for replay to confirm the call.

I was confused by the "12 point tiebreaker." Never heard it called that before. Frank's tennis analysis is about the same as his football announcing.

I remember a running gag where Dave would get a phonebook and call people at random. He once called a woman named Helen Nedelman. Helen's son picked up and informed Dave that Helen had recently passed away. That coupled with this gaffe pretty much ended the random phone calls.

I cannot stop watching that Budweiser "pirates" ad. Full minute in length, very catchy song and so much fun. One great example why I treasure my memories of the 80's!

The Ed Asner Film Festival on "The Popcorn Kid" is a very funny idea for a show- especially in 1987 when it could not have included his voiceover work in "Up".

I am all about 80's music, movies and TV and I have never heard of the series "Kay O' Brien" until now.

Since these ads aired in October, it must have been part of CBS' 86-87 new fall lineup. Something tells me "Kay-O" got KO'D before the end of '86.

It was a nice surprise hearing Jon Astley's "Jane's Getting Serious" in the Heinz ad. It was a very minor pop hit at the time.

The interesting thing about this video is that Tiggi Clay's "current" performance shots are now also considered a flashback.

I really like this video. Very fun and really takes me back to the 80's. I've watched this many times- so many others are missing out!

I was fortunate enough to hear Kenny perform this live in concert a couple of nights ago. "Love The World Away" was not part of his set list, but he said he would do the song as a special request (most likely from one of the concert organizers.)

I remember when Entertainment Tonight played this video over their closing credits when "Quicksilver" was nearing nationwide release.

There was no official video released for this song.

This is a difficult song to track down. To the best of my knowledge, it is only available on the Ruthless People soundtrack and vinyl 45. Difficult to believe since this song went to # 10 on the Billboard singles chart for the week ending 7/26/86.

I really like Franklin as a sportscaster, but his views of women in the workplace- particularly women working in sports is archaic to say the least.

Electric Dreams is one of the most underrated soundtracks. Many of the songs- like this one and "The Duel" and "Video" play prominent roles in the movie.

Why aren't there any more great soundtracks with original music that ties into the film?

I don't remember Friday Night Videos ever airing on a Saturday. The show must have been wildly popular at this point, as it had premiered earlier in the year of '83.

Gerry Casale is in such great form here. This song is so much fun- it's a shame they didn't perform many songs from the "New Traditionalist" album during their current (2010) tour.
