Rajjy Rajj Aka Hurra whose official name is Faraj Hasan is an African American hip hop artist who was born in Newark NJ who makes music that emphasizes romanticism, political liberation, humor, peace and happiness. At the age of 6 years old, he moved to Alexandria, Egypt with his family where he learned how to speak, write, and read the Arabic language fluently. Rajjy Rajj loved music, but could only listen to it outside of his home due to religious rules of his home. Rajjy Rajj's passion for music grew as he became older. He began to test his writing abilities by writing Arabic lyrics which he thought would catch people's attention. In 2002, at the age of 15, Rajjy Rajj moved to Cleopatra which is a small town in Alexandria, Egypt where he met the late Khalid Said. Khalid took Rajjy Rajj in as his little brother and taught him how to record music. In 2003 Rajjy Rajj returned to the US to complete his high school and eventual college education. The artist stopped pursuing music and began boxing as a new hobby. One day, while studying for an exam in the library, a friend asked Rajj Rajj for his IPod to listen to some music and while listening, he came across a song called "Riwish" made by Rajjy Rajj in 2002. The friend listened to the song in amazement and insisted that Rajjy Rajj should continue making creative music. Rajjy Rajj took his friend's comment into consideration and began his journey to success by writing and recording his 1st mixtape single "Ana Fakir". Rajjy Rajj once said that; "he will continue to make great music, because music is life. To live we must inhale air, and great music our ears must hear." In closing, sit back, relax and listen to this bilingual, culturally dual and lyrically witty artist's songs that are soothing for the ears. He takes the languages of English and Arabic (Egyptian) to the pinnacle of enjoyment.
