I grew up a country boy in a tiny rural American village, joining the US Army right after high school to travel the world. During my military tours and private travels "comparative religion" had been a hobby & passion for me and I have studied all of the major world religions while living in Europe, the Far East and the Middle East.
I have traveled across five Continents and have visited every state in the USA.
Hobbies aside, I have my own life philosophy-belief system that resembles a cross between Pantheism and the school of Zen in MahÄyÄna Buddhism. Just think of that line from the Matrix: "There is no spoon!" and that's me. Everyone has to believe in something, even if it is nothing or everything!
I am also a world history buff and lover of life, though I "travel the world" more on the computer & in books than in RL these days. I enjoy a stimulating argument on YouTube occasionally, although my main interest here is simply viewing music and historical & travel videos. I have not uploaded any material to date (my videos would bore most people.) My being a connoisseur of fine whiskey (the water of life) has influenced the name of this channel, if you haven't already guessed.
Elsewhere on the web I am a Topix News Editor and a Wikipedia Editor contributing mainly with articles on US & World Geography, some World History, the American Revolution and the American Civil War.

@iamantony1 Racism toward British?? I guess you mean "prejudice" since "British" is not a "race" (it is a national identity composed of every race, so it is impossible to be racist toward them). Sorry I don't remember what I said (it may have been a whiskey night lol). Let me see, I have forgiven them for the War of 1812, for worldwide imperialism and conquest and even for all that weird stuff like starting the Opium Wars in 19th century China or sending the Beatles to spearhead the British Invasion of the 1960's USA! No, I am not "racist?" towards the British. Some of my best friends are bloody limey bastards too ! ;-D
