About Me:

I'm an enthusiast of philosophy, politics, and theology, with some interest in classical literature. I visit Youtube frequently and plan on making videos soon.

If it's any indication of my interests, I am a former philosophy major and am currently studying law.

Political Views:
I am a libertarian. I believe strongly that we have inviolable natural rights, though I accept government intervention as a necessary evil, so long as it is not based on compulsion or violence. That includes economics; as a libertarian, I am, by necessity, a capitalist.

Religious Views:
Theologically, I'm a Protestant--specifically a Nazarene--and an evangelical. All this means to me is that Christians have a duty to serve endlessly and live out the principles embodied by the Bible. Oppression is bad. Being a REAL "fundamentalist" couldn't possibly be dangerous if Christianity is worth anything at all; unfortunately, folks like Fred Phelps think they've got the Bible figured out and are really just perpetuating a lie. The Bible is sovereign, meaning I'm not a moral relativist; but it's also incredibly compassionate and revolutionary.

Other Interests:
In my spare time, I'm also a science fiction fanatic, a metalhead (though I love most genres of music, with a special emphasis on classical), and a gamer (mostly 16 and 64-bit eras).

Actually, gaming's been an important part of my life ever since I first played Sonic 2 in 1993, and subsequent experiences like Myst, Ocarina of Time, and Shenmue have kept me gaming. I'm pretty much an unabashed Sega fanboy, and I've grown to love Nintendo over the years.

Some words of wisdom:

"If the innocent honest Man must quietly quit all he has for Peace sake, to him who will lay violent hands upon it, I desire it may be considered what kind of Peace there will be in the World, which consists only in Violence and Rapine; and which is to be maintained only for the benefit of Robbers and Oppressors."
--John Locke

"Perhaps one of the most important accomplishments of my administration has been minding my own business."
--Calvin Coolidge

"When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads."
--Ron Paul

"So that this nation may long endure, I urge you to follow in the hallowed footsteps of the great disobediences of history that freed exiles, founded religions, defeated tyrants, and yes, in the hands of an aroused rabble in arms and a few great men, by God's grace, built this country."
--Charlton Heston

"When a true genius appears in this world, you may know him by this sign, that the dunces are all in confederacy against him."
--Jonathan Swift

"I know there is a Supreme Being who rules the affairs of men and whose goodness and mercy have always followed the American people, and I know He will not turn from us now if we humbly and reverently seek His powerful aid."
--Grover Cleveland

"It is a fundamental principle with us that to renounce reason is to renounce religion, that religion and reason go hand in hand, and that all irrational religion is false religion."
--John Wesley

Hey man, once again as I'm not American and still have a lot to learn, what is the difference between a libertarian and a conservative, because you have described yourself as both? Also, I'm currently reading Mere Christianity, what other books do you recommend?

Thanks! It was made way too long ago, before I knew how to edit videos, and I would change some points. For example, I do recognize the talent that does go into screaming and growling or even rapping, but neither are my style.

Yeah, I think AC/DC is a bit overrated, though I do love the Bon Scott era. I also love Van Halen, especially with DLR, and Eddie is one of my all time favourite guitarists. If you disagree that is totally fine.

I recently bought Fly by Night, Caress of Steel, and All the World's a Stage. Rush, specifically 70s, makes me a very proud Canadian. I love Iron Maiden's first seven albums to death as well. I have heard of Dream Theatre and I heard John Petrucci and Mike Portnoy are pretty amazing. I saw them opening for Iron Maiden last year.

Your channel is very cool. You seem to be very knowledgeable and we may share some gaming interests. I am a bit of a Nintendo fanboy but I am also a huge Sonic fan, specifically 16 bit.

There really is. Since you're into anime, I'd recommend checking out some Korean anime. Most of the films are pretty obscure, but it's making a name for itself with titles, like My Beautiful Girl, Mari and Hammerboy. Both of which are not hard to find, but I'd recommend Amazon or Ebay. I do plan to post some videos sometime where I not only review all kinds of anime and video games (including Japanese), but also try to promote them and help get them known to anime fans.

They do say that when you get older, you get more liberal. I used to be a dyed-in-the-wool conservative, but as I got older I began to lean libertarian because they stand up for the principles of what this country was originally founded on. Less government and more individual freedom. Conservatives and Liberals both don't want it. I still hold on to my conservative beliefs, but have gotten liberal on issues like drugs, foreign aid, and (to a lesser degree) gay marriage. Thanks for subscribing and I'm glad you enjoy the videos.
