My thumbs are up ....... because it WAS a black babe who sang this. It was recorded and released by the wonderful Jackie Moore in 1979. It's title was "This Time Baby" and you'll find the original on You Tube.

So cheesy! So commercial! So Euro-pop! Went to a wedding party a few weeks ago - and I hate to admit this - it was brilliant to hear this again. Just brilliant. Everybody danced - all ages - all nationalities. A great dance floor filler.

Getting married next year. Want this as my Wedding Song. Do you think my bride to be will see the funny side to this? Wonder if Jocelyn could blend into the congregation - and then just belt this out. Imagine. Just brilliant.

This song is like a classic wine - it just get's better with age & maturity. Stevie Winwood (lead vocals & keyboards) is probably the greatest white blues singers Britain has ever produced. Better than Eric Clapton or Robert Palmer. Stevie's voice still holds up now even at 60+. Pure joy.

Ah how we all have different memories of this song. Remember driving down the M1 to Barnsley, South Yorkshire during the 1984 Miners Strike listening to this on BBC Radio 1 most mornings. For us in the UK this was the Thatcher era - a time of great social unrest. This song was in contrast was s...

A most wonderful recording (said in a posh English accent). I know that Tonni Smith appears in the (mimed) video and she gets the credit for the vocals ...... but are my ears deceiving me???? Surely this is the Great Chaka Khan??? Can two singers be that good.
