Several versions of the actual text of the Oath are given in the History of Middle Earth; this translation is based on one of those.

Great job! What a wonderful version of this song...the simple strength of it suits the Noldor of the Third Age, I think. And of course this was the first elvish I learned, so I'm thrilled to see this here :) Thanks for sharing!

A wonderful video! It struck me, though, how very different the characters of Valjean and Enjolras are, though. I mean, the one from Ireland could have been a revolutionary, but some of the others are almost...silly...in that role (or would be, if they were actually playing that). But of cours...

The song 'Ave Maria' is about Mary, the mother of Jesus and is a prayer. The translation of the lyrics is included in the comment box, but 'Ave Maria' means 'Hail Mary.'

The curse word in the background is Italian. The words at the end of the prayer are Latin (sign of the cross). So, the intro has both languages.

That's why they don't use real katana? While I suppose it is *possible* to kill someone with a shinai, it's not very likely. The original intent was not a game, but to train swordsmen who could then go out and kill people, if necessary. Martial arts didn't start as games/sports.

No. Blood+ was (loosely) based on an anime movie called Blood: The Last Vampire. There's a reason people comment on Saya's, erm, personality change and are surprised by how human she is in the anime. Saya and David's father are in the original, but Hagi is not.
