I am a singer/songwriter/pianist. My music comes straight from the heart. I have always loved to sing since I was very young and began taking classical piano lessons at the age of 6. I grew up around the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, and studied music and political science at UCLA. I spent several years in Paris, where I sang and played piano in nightclubs and restaurants. Not long after my arrival in Paris, I made a record with Warner Bros. Music, which was the European title track to an American movie. I returned to the United States and received my J.D. from Georgetown Law Center. For the last several years, I have been at home with my three children.

Though I was trained as a classical pianist, I have been strongly influenced by Carole King, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, and Stevie Wonder. I have written many ballads as well as rock, jazz and country songs.

This performance of "By Your Side" was at the opening of the new building for School of Nursing at Virginia Commonwealth University. "By Your Side" was written for the profession of nursing after my personal experience as a mother of twin boys who both were briefly in a neonatal intensive care unit at the VCU Medical Center.
