this is the most technically difficult of all the Etudes Tableaux.The inner voicings escape most pianists, and as much as I like Lugansky, Richter leaves all the competition in the shade.Lugansky brings out all the melodies but has to slow down a bit.You must hear Richter.

If Richter had recorded it I am certain he would have included those gorgeous voicings in the left hand.I have since given up on finding anyone that can match Horowitz who played it, I have 6 recordings by famous pianists all who butcher it.Lugansky I have not heard yet so maybe there is still hope.
