About Beautifully Broken

ABOUT THE BAND - In 2008 Alicia Mehl began using the name "Beautifully Broken". This name was not chosen out of a hat, it has incredible meaning to her.
Alicia's Story:
A broken and humble heart is what God desires (Psalm 51:17). It took a while for me to realize that God needed someone who was ready to be fashioned into His likeness to really use them. And for the longest time I wanted God to use me while I carried my prideful desires and plans with me...and it just never worked.
Through being broken, I am beautiful. Through being humble (work-in-progess), God can choose to use me and work through me however He needs to.

Since that beginning point, there have been a lot of ups and downs but all learning experiences do. God has started writing songs through me that are hard to swallow sometimes, but they have helped to teach and change me. Others are songs of love, passion, adventure...the list goes on.

Recently oppotunities have opened up for me to start sharing the music and passion that God has placed in my heart. It's exciting to finally see God move in others through the music He gives me. And as I take each new step in music, I trust the Holy Spirit to guide me every bit of the way (I'd wander off who knows where without Him). Isn't God awesome!?
