Not of This World!

"So, after receiving the morsel of bread, he immediately went out. And it was night." (Jn 13:30, ESV) How sad. The parenthetical thought at the end of this verse is so sad. Jesus had just washed the disciples' feet, including those of Judas, who would betray Him. Now, he was headed out into the darkness...away from the Light. So many today have done the same thing. By rejecting the One who loves them unconditionally they walk out into the darkness of night. Pray for them, won't you?

Are you relying upon something, or someone, other than God for your security? Or, maybe you are doing so along with professing faith in God? Did you know that this is idolatry - plain and simple. Hear these words of Elijah: Elijah came near to all the people and said, "How long will you hesitate between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him." But the people did not answer him a word. (1 Kg 18:21, NASB)
