hi, alas no was not at the 2 many dj's, they always have nice eye candy. an yeah i reckon they did most of that in after effects, but also recorded from vj software and then looped and recorded again. then laid down as a template to add futher motion on top. a fun process that can easily be seen in the titles of "the mighty booosh" first season. also flash would have played a major part in the layout.
i was using my cam this year to do that zoom in on the crown thing so did not record my set, hence the clip hunt, seems not many about so far.... you may find some of the videos from "the smoke eaters"( they are on my channel page, have a look) very interesting, they are using clips from films but also lots of colour masks and effects from different programes. thats the key you see, use diff programmes for dif effects pre prodution then again post if needed.
good luck with all you do so and thanks for the clips you do have ;o]

Thanks for your kind comments, yes it did go down well cheers. I'm going on to do a degree in Motion Graphics, so really looking forward to taking it further. Unfortunately, i don't have any more clips of Norman Jay, that's all I took. We were also a bit far back, so I didn't get a very good shot. I liked what I could see though. I wish i'd had a hi-def camera and got a bit closer to some of the acts. Were you at the 2 Many DJ's set? It was awesome. I was really impressed with the visuals. Would love to find out how they animate the album covers...do you think it's done with After Effects? Anyway, I hope you manage to track down some more clips. Cheers :)
