Comparing the Custom Shop to the 72 Thinline made in Mexico. . what do you hear in terms of tone differences? Does the higher dollar guitar stand out enough to warrant the price tag or does the Mex 72 hang in there with it?

Like a MORON i turned down the purchase of a 51 at a little music store in around 1976. . I opted for an SG instead, a strange lower end SG . . both were for sale at $250.0. The Fender was nicked and chipped and back then people were not into distressed guitars like today. What a mistake I made!

Such a nice sounding guitar. I played a Classic Vibe against an American model costing much more and the C Vibe really held it's own. . both in sound and construction.

I thought that Fender makes two models of the Classic Vibe series. . one in pine and the other, a bit more expensive, in alder? They are indeed excellent guitars. . you do get a lot of bang for your buck with these instruments.

Your recording quality is not allowing the sound to come through

Stones or rocks having been thrown at researchers, the sound of wood knocking and the howls that cannot be identified are enough for me to believe that there is a creature that has oppose able thumbs and stands or walks on it's hind legs.

This is a special solid state designed by Gary Sunda in the early 1980's. I would say around 1983. I have never seen the foot switch so I am not aware of the color.
