Nope you don't need a muffler that is just back pressure. I used to put a straight pipe on my 51 with the flat head on it when I pulled a 14 foot disc with it. Night time you could see a foot of haze coming out of the pipe and the manifold was cherry red all the time!

I have the same disc with cone blades. I pull it with my 68 4020 34 inch rubber with duals like yours. Are you in 3d or 4th? The worst part about that disc is dropping and locking the gangs. Fine outfit for a small farm. Nice video.
