Ha I too was a skin for the first time in 1970 at the age of 16. Man we had some laughs in the Gelderd End. We used to fight but never used blades. We had respect for those who were not our ilk & would leave em alone. I remember my Dads first comment to my Mum when I was first cropped "Well at least he looks like a real lad". Great times - in 1970 I had 2 Ben Sherman & Grandad vest, now I have 2 grown up kids & waiting to be a Grandad. We once got in at the Pop End at Derby before kick off with the rest of the Leeds Skins ( about 200) The Derby Skins fill the same end & a pot of shouting ect. Me & my best mate were at the front beckoning them to have a go. They stood there motionless looking at us with open mouths is if we were idiots - What we didnt know was all the Leeds fans behind us had run & only the 2 of us were facing them. Never run so fast in my life since. Happy days.
