I think it's funny that Motor Trend picked the highest-opted Z06, considering that the base (without all the giant wheels, body work, and fancy interior) is faster in a 1/4 mile and decided to do a 1/4 mile drag. Of course, the CFZ/Z07 is faster anywhere else, and that makes sense with the total...

@nawzy202 I dunno about that. It's close--the SLS has 579 hp and the Z06 has 505, but the SLS also weighs hundreds of pounds more. Top speed is basically equal as well, so I don't know that we could really say what would happen. Gearing differences?

There's something about seeing an aging car (ok so this one isn't very old, but I'm sure everyone understands) looking so beautiful. Take the guy down the street from me--he has a '69 Mustang Boss 429 and it looks like pictures from old automotive magazines. Seeing a shiny classic is just...bet...

I got a car when I turned 16. The thing is, I got my mom's old Accord and she got a Miata. She said, "Happy birthday son. You get to pick up your little brother and sister from school now." Thanks, mom. But at least it had 3 pedals.

@Sahadi420 You can order a base model with paddle shifters (they actually feel ok, as they are mounted on the back of the steering wheel, like R and L on a game controller--the Camaro SS has the same option) but I would still get the 6M transmission any day.
