About Me:

Here on YouTube to share insights and hobbies with other fans of the 1960s including tv shows, music, movies, electronics, appliances and cars .The classic 1960s - Lawrence Welk, Ray Conniff, Percy Faith & other instrumental music, as well as vocals by The King Sisters (my FAVORITE vocal group), Judy Garland, Lena Horne, Marilyn Maye, Julie London, The Lennon Sisters, Eddy Arnold, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Perry Como, Dick Haymes, Bobby Vinton, Johnny Mathis and Andy Williams.

TV: The Dick Van Dyke Show, My Three Sons, Family Affair, Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color, Ben Casey, The Andy Griffith Show, Burke's Law, Dr. Kildare, The Flintstones, The Lucy Show, The Dean Martin Show, Hazel, Green Acres, The Donna Reed Show, The Patty Duke Show, My Favorite Martian, The Jack Benny Program, The Lawrence Welk Show, The Joey Bishop Show, Have Gun-Will Travel, The Hollywood Palace, What's My Line, Hollywood Squares, Let's Make A Deal, Candid Camera, Leave It To Beaver, Adventures In Paradise, Hawaiian Eye, Combat, McHale's Navy, 60's news broadcasts such as The Huntley Brinkley Report from NBC and The CBS Evening News with Walter Cronkite.

AMERICAN electronics ONLY: from late 1950s to the early 1970s: Zenith and RCA Victor television sets and clock-radios. Frigidaire, GE and Lady Kenmore appliances.

AMERICAN CARS from 1961 to 1973 especially the following:
Mercury Marquis 1969-72, Pontiac Grand Prix 1962-68, Pontiac GTO 1964-70. Buick Electra 225 1967-68 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight 1965-68, Oldsmobile Jetstar I 1964-1965, Cadillac DeVille 1963-68, Lincoln Continental 1961-73, Continental Mark III 1970-71, Mercury Colony Park 1962-70, Chrysler New Yorker 1969-71, Plymouth Fury 1969-73, Dodge Monaco 1969-73, Ford Mustang 1965-68, Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight 1971-72, Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado 1965-66 and 1967-70, Ford Country Squire 1962-1967.

AND I am a HUGE Scottish Terrier fan! My Scottie dogs are my best firends. Do you have a Scottie dog too?

I also collect original advertising and promo literature from HOWARD JOHNSON'S RESTAURANTS AND MOTOR LODGES - "Host of the Highways" - they were an American tradition of food and lodging along the highways and byways of the USA from 1925 to 1985 - until rival Marriott unfortunately bought them, ruined them and disbanded the Howard Johnson company. ALL Howard Johnson's fans are welcome!

I'm glad I grew up in the 1960s - it was a great era to be a kid in the suburbs, a truly fun and simpler time in the USA. And Americans manufactured appliances, electronics, furniture and cars right here in the USA which other Americans bought. It was a win-win situation for American jobs and for made in the USA quality. It was the greatest.

I grew up in that time also. It is a shame there are no,, good tv shows now; like You mentioned. My wife and I are with Netflix. I just received today, amovie with Jack Webb, called "Dragnet: vol. 3. I have been renting many old movies. my wife doesn't care too much for those ; but I love'em. I'm 72. You have a nice profile.. have a good day..
