I was on this demo which I found accidentally and joined - I put myself inside the kettle to see what it was like - there were kids in there and parents too and for a lot it was their first encounter with the police - the police did not make any friends that day - a lot of people were shocked at what happened - 6 people went to talk to the commander - told him - no public order offence had been comitted - there were minors inside the kettle and that all the officers taking part had been filmed - that the police were acting outside the law and guily of illegal imprisonment without arrest or trial and that if the kettle was not opened a case would be brought against the police for illegal imprisonment - with the commander named as the main culprit - he smirked implying that he was not worried - then opened the kettle 5 mins later
