Great vocal and the backing band were well tight. Not sure why he chooses to don those massive Dennis Taylor style glasses unless he misheard advice to try and maximise specs appeal. But yeah, thanks for the posting Matt.

Why pray, was this Mediteranean crooner-type filming a promo in and around Bedford? What could have been the motivation? It would seem this 'big budget' production didn't quite pave the way to world fame and glory as he may have hoped; but i'm so glad he did it.

Ah, that takes me back; warm summer days, Bard causing mayhem and Tom with a far-away look in theeyes and all his body-parts in-tact. Good times.

Quite a big debt to Gary Numan on this one I'd say - not that that's necessarily a bad thing and given GN's standing at the time, not surprising either. Still sounds relatively fresh.

Superb! Man, this rocks - original; great groove and love how you don't take yourselves or the industry too seriously. Are any of the albums available on CD or are they all just iTune downloads? Much prefer having something tangible to add to the collection rather then just another file on my ipod.

Quality: I love this band and will be spreading the word to anyone who'll listen and a few who won't. Go! Go! Go!

Electric is gay-bar music. Electric is a music execs idea of what rock ought to be/sound like whereas this, this is pure, original rock as a god somewhere, possibly Ian, intended it to be.

Possibly the best rock voice ever - how did he manage to do two hour sets night after night without needing a throat transplant? Awsome.

Ian's vocals are utterly awsome during this period of his career. Amazing power and tone - fantastic stage presence too. Might have slightly overdone the make-up but easy to get carried away on a lads night out eh?

Like the majority - i agree SDC were pure, honest rock and within a year of becoming The Cult, evaporated and replaced with 'someone elses' idea of what 'good, commercial rock' should sound like. ian - I wish you'd stayed true to yourself but then again, i don't suppose you'd have the cond in Bev...

I remember seeing this on live TV and noticing Ian's star quality - his on-stage energy and charisma shone. Technically the band were deemed amateurish but i beg to differ; their sound was unique-powerful-thought provoking. Not sure what happened to the other members of the band - i don't believe...

Quite new to SP's but hearing quite a few influences in there; Radiohead & Manic Street Preachers spring to mind for starters but really like their sound.
