Hey - thanks for the fantatic comment Alan ... love your enthusiasm for the subjects ... I too loved Miranda Richardsons performance in Dance with a Stranger - i went to the cinema to see it when it came out - i MUST buy the DVD. I was in an antiques shop in Arundul (south east england - beautiful castle there) and came across loads of old 50's magazines - called Picturesque... I bought about 14. They are all like gossip magazines about hollywood and Britains actors and actresses - Diana dors wrote a column for them ... really fabulous to read and see. I think that you will find that England has changed a lot since those days - lost a lot of its charm ... though there are still lovely places and if you know the right places to go you can still uncover some of it - London is always full of hidden secrets - you will have to come over one day and i hope you wont be toooo disappointed!! I'm responding to your comment here too Heather, I'm thinking that as far as blonde '50s era bombshells go, Mamie Van Doren may be reasonably approachable. There were also a few other British Bombshells in the landscape, like Sabrina. You have a great day, and year!
