'630 Company' started in April 2008, by Devilking and Muttley on Acid.

Having gamed together since the Battlefield 2: Modern Combat days back in 2004 on the PS2, they moved from the OAP's clan to FRAG after the purchase of Xbox 360's.
Both then became involved in the creation of 'The Game Asylum' and eventually stumbled over to here.

The name '630 Company' derives from the love of First Person Shooters, and Muttley on Acid's little obsession with WW2.

Sword Beach was the codename for one of the five landing beaches of 'Operation Neptune', which was the initial assault phase of 'Operation Overlord' beginning on 6th June 1944 (commonly known as D-Day).
The landing force at Sword Beach was the British 1 Corps, who's key objective was to capture the town of Caen, and the nearby aerodrome.
The day ended with 28,845 British troops ashore, and 630 causalities.
