This is not PMC training...it's just some range drills between friends. Utilizing a lot of magpul dynamics techniques. I think someone said a couple of these guys have served, but it has nothing to do with PMCs...

Yes, the threading is standard 9mm sized at 1/2x28.

The good news is these are available currently at $490-500 at a number of good sites. The First Edition is about $700 or so now. It's a different/special model.

The 9mm is a fantastic round...when you're not shooting ball ammo. Thanks to the Geneva Convention, the 9mm gets really hamstrung. When shooting ball, yes .45 is a more effective round. However there is no miracle combat handgun. 7+1 is a far cry from 15+1 for capacity etc.

Typically great review Sturm, thanks. You were speed-talking this one though! I'd love to see (if you have time sometime) a more comprehensive comparison, using say 4-5 types of ammo. For instance, I know in 74's, the difference is pretty big between surplus mil-spec ammo and commercial versio...

Same reason it took the US the same amount of time to come around with upgraded kit...people don't want to spend enough money on the military. Heck back in 2001, the US was still wearing the same old US woodland pattern stuff, and most units looked like they had just stepped out ...

I couldn't disagree with you more (having had Eotechs fail numerous times, including a LOT of them at my agency). But, this is why different products exist. There is nothing "superior" about a 68/1 moa setup. If you can't hit something with a standard Aimpoint dot...you can't hit...

PS: Yes, this is a pretty darn obvious fake video. But the information/practices stand. Also, any LEO knows we don't technically 'shoot to kill' but 'shoot to stop'. Fortunately to stop someone dead in their tracks often requires lethal gunshots. The end result is often the same.

For those who seem to be missing the point of this gun...it is proprietary because it is built to better accomodate/run the 6.8 SPC round. This is not the same as the older PSD which is a standard 5.56 built upper which can take a 6.8 barrel etc. The stock/buffer/spring etc. are also proprietar...

You don't need to run an extended magazine release. A normal AK magazine release is more than long enough to operate in any condition. With some work, an AK magazine change can be done very quickly and efficiently.

5) I've tried steel in about a dozen different ARs. If you're firing slowly and not running the gun hard, it seems about 1 out of 4 will handle it fine. There is little logic to which rifles shoot it well. I've tried LWRC, Bushmaster, Colt, Bravo Company, LMT etc.
