Thanks for the research footage. What you saw is a waterspout (tornado) hidden in high precipitation (rain wrapped). This can be the most dangerous type of storm. Glad you were safe! Alumni Research - University of Western Ontario

The tornado was over a 1 km wide so the RFD ( rear flank downdraft) would have been just as strong from what I can see. Looks like the tornado was not to far away ... Glad you were safe. Thanks for posting video as part of my research.
