This is truly the best version I have heard of the Pachelbel's Canon. I can appreciate the best of all genres--except for heavy metal, rap, and progressive jazz--but classical is my favorite. It, and the best of the hymns, are the only genres which can move me to tears.

Domingo and Pavarotti have more volume, but Carreras is pleasing to listen to. I enjoyed the repartee among them; you can tell they are good friends, all willing to share the stage and not hog it. The conductor is funny, too. So sorry Pavarotti is no longer with us.

Her voice is too busy for this piece of work. I like a more natural sound with vibrato toned down in this particular number, like Lynne Dawson's sweet, beautiful voice. After all, it is not an opera. Elizabeth's voice is more suited for that venue.
