I was in the NCO club but I spent most of my time in the Gun Club. I was E-5 only a short time before leaving Hersfeld. I also have a ashtray from the gun club. Does anyone else remember the Gun Club?

wlh1usa- I read your comment about the Fulda Gap. I served in Bad Hersfeld from 1967 to 1969. I know more now about the border now than I did when I was over there thanks to this website. I was not at the border very much, I was at the kasserne mostly, but I have heard a lot of stories about b...
