Thanks for the comment about the shooting gallery at Frontier Village.
The BB pellets were equiv. to a .22cal and the impact was enough to flatten the slug upon hitting a target.
The metal was actually swept up and recycled back into pellets and there was a large air compressor in back. We also cleaned the barrels everyday and were able to test fire the rifles to be sure that shooters could actually hit the target. More than once, I had to prove to bad shots that the weapons were sighted correctly. Losing Frontier Village was a huge loss for San Jose.
