Movies: The Conversation (Gene Hackman), Solaris, Moon, Dr Strangelove or How I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb (Kubrick); Apocalypse Now (Coppola); Ali: Fear Eats the Soul (Fassbinder); Wings of Desire (Wenders); Voyager (Schloendorff); A Dry White Season (with Marlon Brando, Susan Sarandon, Donald Sutherland); Network. Documentaries: Lessons of Darkness by Werner Herzog, a film about Gulf War I and the ensuing oil-fires; The Fog of War by Errol Morris. Docudramas: Threads (first shown on BBC), later banned, now on google video (britain + elsewhere)- about nuclear war and aftermath. TV Shows: Colbert Report, Jon Stewart, and of course, most old Twilight Zone's and MASH episodes.

Too many to mention...but here are some, both fiction and non-fiction: 'Elementary Particles' by Michel Houellebecq and 'Singvogel' by Thommie Bayer for fiction, and "Secrets: A Memoir of Vietnam and the Pentagon Papers" by Daniel Ellsberg and "Manufacturing Consent" by Chomsky for non-fiction. "The Shock Doctrine' by Naomi Klein, "The Grand Chessboard" by Zbigniew Brzezinski, "Packing Inferno" by Tyler E. Boudreau, "The Globalization of Poverty + the New World Order" by Michel Chossudovsky, "American Fascists" by Chris Hedges. "The Clash of Civilizations + the Remaking of World Order" by Samuel Huntington and many other neo-con authors, whose work I also read in great detail, ultimately rejecting this philosophy of after much reading and experiences in real life.
