I have the same problem and I'm calling Apple support first thing Monday about this issue. I hope they'll simply fix it, not replace my phone, considering numerous other issues with the 4S, that mine fortunately isn't affected by.

@WilliamNaville although I'm not as angry as you, I do agree that this interface is of no use on a desktop or laptop. I can totally see how the new start menu and slide-in gestures are convenient on tablets though. Since this is just a preview especially for tablets, I'm sure they will add option...

From what I can tell the differences in specs are minimal, if present at all. Obviously, the X3-02 has a different key layout and a different design. It's up to you which design you like better :)
