Neutered ferrets do not smell if well cared for. They are intelligent, gentle and clean, making superb pets. I've have six at the moment and have dozens before.

I am not squemish, I use ferrets to hunt rabbits, but I don't think it's nessesary to feed live mice. A swift death without the torment.
