I first heard this song about 1965 sung by a 'bar singer' in Butte County, California. He had a line that went ... "I'm a Long Tall Texan ... I ride a big Jackass ... I'm a Long Tall Texan ... I ride a big Jackass ... People look at me and say ... Is that your ass?"

You gotta love Ginny Reilly music ... anyone that can write songs like "I don't know what I want from you but I ain't gettin' it blues" and "Did Beethoven do the dishes?" can't be all bad. Her lyrics, to me, are priceless.
