My dad sold Chevy's in this era, this song was a promotional record given away by Chevy dealers. My dad brought home a whole box of them I gave them away to all my friends at school.

It was a great engine designed by the Brits, but we built them too. Packard motor cars built them by the thousands. They actually improved them and some of the improvements were adopted by the British and incorporated into their Merlins too.

@naderchaser No '62 Darts were "B" body cars the Dart name wasn't on an "A" body car until 1963.

@DavidW2340 how odd that Pontiac a dead division of GM is still the body of choice for the GM P/S teams. At some point the Pontiac body will be gone (NHRA only allows the a certain number of years for a body style to be used) Then the GM teams will only let them use Chevy bodies.

Sorry, The woody,Thunderbird & Gran Torino are not "muscle cars" The #1 was a "pony" car (some later stang's were muscle cars) Your list has left out some real American Muscle cars. Hemi Cuda, 454 Chevelle, GTO etc.

@nickdecarlo76 It did but it was a larger car until 1963. The Dart name then went to the smaller Darts. The smaller cars were called Lancer's before 1963.
