About Geoff
Hi My name is Geoff Cottam. My first guitar was given to me for my 15th birthday present . My early
influences were Buddy Holly,Simon and Garfunkel, James Taylor ,and Leonard Cohen. I have been
writing and playing my own songs since the early 70s.
Through the 70s I played Folk Clubs,mainly as a
solo artist. My friend Rik recorded many of the
songs and they will be all up on this site in the
near future. In the 80s I played mainly with
dance bands playing pop and standards.
In the 90s I started song writing again and further
recordings were made which will also go on
this site. Apart from song writing my other
interest is Sailing and during the summer I like
to sail the Devon and Cornwall coast. Thanks
