Thanks for posting. I really enjoyed this documentary. From beginning to end.

The original Doomsday Machine model was a windsock dipped in cement or plaster of paris. Norman Spinrad originally invisioned the planet killer to a massive object bristling with weapons. I guess the budget back then could only allow the most basic of effects.

I heard this several times a year when I used to live in Jersey City. It's just as JacobLinkZelda described. It's the powerplant venting steam at high pressure and it can be heard for miles. Nothing unusual, just annoying.

Best movie opening I've ever seen.

Nice video. Haven't played the game. According to all reports the Bismarck turned turtle before she went down. She was found right side up on the bottom with all four of her main turrets missing. The inner hull apparently intact according to James Cameron when he investigated the wreck.

Read whatever you want into this commercial! I think its great. Great cast of characters and awesome song!

Thanks Tap, another great post. I wish I had saved all the stuff I had on vhs. Its a lot of the same stuff you posted here. The only gem missing from this collection is the opening for Creature Feature on WNEW 5. I can't believe no one has a copy of it anywhere.

That really stirs some memories. I remember watching a lot of old horror movies on Cinema13. If I'm correct it ran on Saturday nights. Thanks again Tap!
