Interests:
i used to always think that time travels in rings. like a ball of rubberbands. each band a life, with individual lives running parallel and/or haphazardly, intersecting at random. each life essentially linear, but not, because a ring doesn't have a beginning or end. but now i think time travels in loops, like a helix or spiral (depending on the point of view at which you're looking at it), except there are a myriad of helices, running side by side (beside each other in time?) evenly or squiggly and jumbled, like dna in a chromosome, connected to each other by bridges, similar to base pairs, and influencing each other that way. the helix, or spiral, is also essentially linear, which doesn't make sense where time is concerned. so each individual strand has to be closed. like a ring of loops- no beginning and no end; recycling a given life into many lives that recur, the same but different. the strands of a life join others, overlapping, tangling, connected by bridges or intersections, something like that. in the best case scenario, they overlap for a long length in a good way. probably at random, but maybe predetermined, don't know. it would explain a lot, though. it would explain why the speed of light becomes irrelevant when thinking of traveling in the blink of an eye. so-called "time traveling" may be conceptualized as being possible. a person could time-shift in various increments towards the past and/or future. it would explain why some people feel like old souls. might be a consideration when you're trying to figure out how deja-vue works. maybe explain the whole soulmate thing. it would explain why suicide is such a bad idea; to break one's own strand. who knows who else's life you could fuck up by doing that, seeing as how people may be interconnected, and not even know it. interesting to think about, anyway.
