@MrDETROIT93 We would recommend lift blocks because you can get closer to your goal of 2 inches of lift for less money. Also, we would recommend new shocks to eliminate loss of suspension travel and OEM like handling. Here are my suggestions based on your budget. You can gain 2 inches of rear lift height with new shocks for under $150 tax included! This 2" Block Kit from Superlift is on sale for $61 on the site (Part Number: SUP3825). Also, Skyjacker offers shocks for your truck, with 2 inches of lift, for $33 on the site (Part Number: SKYH7017). Hope this helps!

@cossey0687 We carry Rancho and Pro Comp, which are affordable and adjustable shocks. I recommend adjustable shocks due to the variety of driving conditions you experience in Alaska. Take a look at the Pro Comp MX-6 Monotube Adjustable Shock Absorber and the RS9000XL Series Shocks. I hope this helps!

Hey guys, great channel! I need a little guidance: I have a 2005 chevy 1500 HD with an add-a-leaf and the torsion bars turned running 285/75/16's. I need to know what type or length shocks I should go with. I tow/haul often and live in Alaska so gravel roads are a norm. Thanks for teh help.

@14avalanche - Without a lift on factory wheels you can fit a 265/75/17 if you have the factory cladding or 285/75/16 on factory wheels without the factory cladding. (all of these sizes are without trimming anything)
