CONSIDER THIS: A GLOBAL AVERAGE OF 59 DEGREES WILL NOT MELT ICE IN ANTARCTICA WHERE ITS -50 DEGREES; IT WILL NOT MELT ICE ANYWHERE THE TEMP IS BELOW FREEZING. THE LAWS OF THERMODYNAMICS HAVE NOT CHANGED.

There's no such thing as a "global average temperature". The average temp is meaningless; St. Louis and San Francisco have the same yearly average temperature, but their climates are quite different. You can also have a day with temps in the 70's with a higher average than one that topped out at 80 and a low of 60. I can give you an average of, for example, 50 degrees - and I challenge anyone to tell me anything about what reality was by that "average temperature" (i.e., what did the high reach that day and what was the low); the fact is the average is totally useless when it comes to providing that information, and it doesnt tell you whether or not its warming or cooling. Only actual temps count, and they are only meaningful locally because, like averages, actual temps in one place do not melt ice where the temp is below freezing. 100 degrees in Des Moines will never melt ice in Antarctica.

There's also a little matter of surface stations being placed next to heat sources, and data that doesnt get recorded and getting substitute numbers instead. (See "Is the U.S. Surface Temperature Record Reliable?" by Anthony Watts) This shoddy record-keeping has no place in science, and we have no business making policy decisions based on these numbers.

Our planet is wonderfully balanced, and since it is, there is no possibility of global warming as its being fed to us in the media. You undoubtedly learned in grade school that while we have winter, the southern hemisphere has summer, and vice versa. The planet also hangs in the absolute cold of outer space and our atmosphere is constantly radiating that heat back into space via convection currents. None of this has to do with CO2 or man; it is the natural forces of the planetary system at work. And anyone who thinks they can control the climate is deluded and needs two signatures and a bed!!!
