4Reel Productions affords Clark Atlanta University Students and other Atlanta University students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the art and practice of filmmaking. The organization assists students with creating viable and relevant films that are poised and ready to be marketed, exhibited and distributed across a variety of media platforms.

The organization offers student members filmmaking tutorials in the form of workshops that provide filmmaking skills to enhance the Mass Media Arts curriculum and assist students in the further development of their individual professional interests. Students are provided with experience in several phases of the film production process that include but are not limited to: development, scriptwriting, directing, producing, acting, camera operation and editing.
