They have the same issue both times. The glideslope looks good, but then instead of flying the aircraft onto the runway, they level off each time and let it drop when the airspeed decays.

I fly both helicopters and fixed wing, and if something goes wrong, I'd rather be in the helicopter any day. In an emergency, you can land a helicopter just about anywhere. Luckily...

Cool to see Manitoba uses blue lights on their plows too, like Ontario, Newfoundland and about ten American states. They stand out really well in snowy conditions, and accent the amber lights.

Every pilot scares themselves once in a while, whether they admit it or not. I've had a few uneasy feelings now and then. But I'll bet he was shitting his pants in that last thirty feet or so. Skids took most of it, but that airframe is going to need one detailed inspection before it flies again.

Probably be a hell of a lot more effective at moving traffic if you turned all your flashing lights on. Could use some alternating highbeams and bigger grill lights.

@LateNightCable So true. The Crown Vic is like a heavy duty pickup truck, where the Taurus is a prissy, computer-assisted toy. It won't take the punishment. Too many car makers are getting away from basic, solid car building, in favour of gadgety, computer controlled spaceships.

That's a really good setup for plowing streets. I wish we used the same system with loaders. Like Ontario, Newfoundland sees the advantage of using blue flashing lights in conjunction with amber. Much more visible in snowy conditions. All provinces should adopt this blue/amber lighting package.
