Well, I pretty much spend my time reading books which is my main interest and Hobbey, I love movies and I spend a fair share of my time surfing the Net..
Movies:
I love movies with a good story no matter what is the genre: The Constant Gardener, The last king of Scotland and The message.. I HATE Romantic Comedies I really can't stand them :( and I love war movies :).. I LOVE period movies and Dramas the most: North and South, Pride and Prejudice, Atonement, Becoming Jane, Persuasion, Jane Eyre and The Thorn Birds (I just looove it) o(=^o^=)o.. I love the ITV adaptations of Agatha Christie books, lol I think David Suchet IS Mr. Poirot ^_^.. I LOVE black & white Egyptian movies..
Music:
Kathem As-Sahir, Abd Al-Haleim Hafith.. I like REAL MUSIC.. Il Divo, Josh Groban, Yanni, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven and all the good Classics..
Books:
I LOVE reading, I'm a bookworm, I just LoOove reading o(=^_^=)o.. My Favorite writers are: Agatha Christie, Victor Hugo, Charles Dickens, Charlotte Bronte, Dan Brown, Jane Austen and many many more..

I agree with you these films are traditional and reflective upon a certain era, but they are so much nicer than many of the modern day related films, not forgetting to mention much cleaner lol
I am a big fan of all of the movies and TV productions of all of Jane Austen's novels.
I haven't seen Jane Eyre :( I think I should watch it lol
About a million times better than Pride and Prejudice, I love the leading protagonist, she acts out the role of Emma so perfectly in my view. The BBC often do several productions. I wish they would do a new one of Pride and Prejudice with completely different actors/actresses.

ahhhhhh you must watch it, just make sure it is on a cold day and you are watching it in the warmth of your room, I know I sound crazy, but really it is an amazing production. I have not seen the earlier production. To be honest I preferred this over Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility.

It was prolific, unfortunately I saw parts 3 and 4, but I will watch the first two parts Insha'Allah.
